The Aquapranayama Method

What is the aquapranayama method?

There are three pillars of the method - pranayama (oxygenating the cells of your body - used for energy and stillness) and meditation (harnessing your inner strength and peace), yoga (the journey to the self) and ocean/water advocacy (knowledge and strength to act and to live a connected and meaningful life connected with water).

Aquapranayama is a method which links breathwork, pranayama, yoga, meditation with an energetic connection to water and watery spaces.

  • Aqua is water

  • Prana is life force energy or vital life force

  • Yama is regulation/control

  • Ayama – extension or expansion

"In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught." - Baba Dioum, 1968

As a Professor of Science and Education, a marine biologist and a yoga and breathwork teacher, it is my mission to connect people with water and breath in order to feel well and empower positive action to protect our planet for the future of humanity.

Who is the aquapranayama method for?

The method and course is for yogis, yoga teachers and anyone who works, lives on or near the water or would just like to connect more deeply with themselves and a power greater than themselves around watery spaces.

“Yoga, breathwork and water advocacy for deep connection to our watery spaces.”

To be part of this program, everyone must commit to all three pillars.

Breath + Water = Life

Feel it. Breathe it. Be it.
